The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Patrick Adaba(mni) is dead.

A close family source disclosed the news of his demise to our correspondent this evening.

According to the information, the former Deputy Governor died following a protracted illness.

Chief Patrick Adaba is an old administrator. The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State and a member of the National Institute (mni).

Adaba was born in 1946. He went through public schools, from primary 1 to primary 7. After his secondary school, he gained admission into the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he graduated in 1971 with BA in History and Political Science and a combined graduate certificate of education.

He worked in various places before he was appointed Secretary to Kogi State government under Prince Abubakar Audu’s first tenure as governor of Kogi State.

He was in 1999 elected Deputy Governor in a joint ticket that returned Prince Abubakar Audu back to Lugard House as Governor of the state.
